No Gentleman Meeting? “Where the boys are? Someone waits for me…… “  Connie Francis Where were all the guys on 10 th Nov 2014?  Oh ya they were busy looking for someone…….. For the first time in ages, Crystal Toastmasters Club had the meeting conducted in full women attendance. Even the only opposite sex, DTM Sivalingam, the supposedly General Evaluator had also to turn us down due to an urgent matter. But nevertheless, the meeting went on with high Women’s Power instead… in line  with the meeting theme scrupulously set by the TME, Emily Bong, the STAR Toastmaster of the Year….. ” I am Still Learning. ” In life, learning is not only confined to the classroom The biggest room in the world is th room for IMPROVEMENT We must keep on learning and get to know the world better. We learn from the speeches and from the fellow members. In Crystals, we should never, never, never stop learning…. Even the Table Topic Speakers gave their ALL to further reinforce the

Meeting Theme : Mid-Autumn Festivals As expected,  Crystals girls were a vain lot and they were back to prompt their sexy high slits ‘Cheong Sam’ to celebrate the Moon Cake Festivals which was the theme for the meeting. President Ogy Ong, CC gave a very captivating definitions of  Moon-Cakes….Wow.. Even the shape beholds a meaning. A round shape depicts COMPLETENESS,  similar to the unity of Crystals Family. Thank You Karen Yip and Yip See See for your kind and generous contributions of the sweet delicacies that we  get to savour only once a year. Due to unforeseen circumstances Sharon Lam had to relinquish her role as TME the day before, and with a wave of a magical fairy wand, our dear Emily Bong readily appeared before us, took control and conducted the whole meeting with superb fineness and quality. Thank You, Emily  for accepting the TME role at the eleventh hour…. you are dynamic and a true role model who will not hesitate to help when Crystals is concerned. More topi

Crystal Toastmasters Meeting on 11th August 2014, Theme : Peace & Harmony

Image
Crystal Toastmaster Meeting on 11th August 2014 Theme :  Peace & Harmony Due to the inclement weather that spun off massive traffic jams that evening, the meeting almost had a chaotic start.   A number of role players and speakers were held up and could not arrive on time. And worst of all, the honorable President was also stuck in the jam! Amidst all the anguish and anxiety, the meeting finally took off at 7.33pm, which saw a delay of 3mins against our “timely” start time which has been the culture of Crystals. With the “Acting President and Yours Truly” giving the opening address, all done in a jiffy, I want to give a  big thank you  to our host for that evening, our  Toast Master of the Evening, Serene Ting who expertly crafted and juggled the whole program and speech slots to accommodate whoever who arrived first. “Peace and Harmony” was the message brought in by the TME. Make peace and the world could be a better place…And peace begins from within. Do to others what you

Image
Crystal Toastmaster Meeting 14 th July 2014 Our lovely and caring President CC Ogy Ong gave her maiden President Speech confidently and courageously.  Our theme of the year is ONE DIRECTION, ONE SPIRIT . And the theme for the night is ONE HEART . She is confident that all crystal ladies will always uphold the One Direction of Crystal Toastmasters Club Mission which is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop and practice communication and leadership skills which in turn foster self confidence and personal growth. This One Direction of Crystal Toastmasters Club’s Mission will be supported whole heartedly by One Spirit which we called it Crystal ladies team spirit. Bravo! A big applause to our energetic and gorgeous Distinguished Toastmaster DTM Irene Lee for bringing in the idea of “One Heart”. Irene took effort and time to invite all the former Crystal Toastmaster Presidents to join th
