Nothing but thrilled ...... A good combination of both clubs speakers and role players has created a memorable night for all. Once the Presidential Address was over, Toastmaster of the Evening Chin Teng Yoong CTM, took over the control. We were delighted to see the overflowing attendance ; our large meeting room suddenly became so pack and looked smaller on that evening. “Crystal Toastmasters Club is a vast conspiracy to make you a good leader ” Distinguished Toastmaster Sivalingam, our invited General Evaluator called me at 6:15pm, and I was told that the meeting room was dark, empty and nothing happening.. To my surprise, I was not in a panic; I was very calm when I handled the situation. I called Tropicana but was told the sale office was closed and all their staff has gone off duty. I managed to contact En Razak, the F & B Manager, through his mobile phone.Within half an hour, a team of maintenance staff, set up the whole meeting room, with the refreshment, all ready on the dot(6:45pm). Hence, our meeting started on time with only a handful of members. Emily Bong CC , who was the acting President, have much reason to ‘ smile ’ . Evidently proven.......putting on a smile, for what had happen, ‘Just let them know, we want to resume our meeting instead of blaming other, people will react to you differently’.Well! There are many more benefits

ACM is a fantastic platform for Toaastmasters who want to:- a) receive EFFECTIVE and CONSTRUCTIVE feedback from not 1 but MANY evaluators b) enhance your EVALUATION skill - the PARTICIPANTS can give feedback too c) improve your LEADERSHIP skills by playing the role as facilitator or co-ordinator. The way they conduct the meeting is different from what we normally have. For the speakers, they are not only given panel but also open evaluations from the participants. Wow ! what a wonderful experience to have so many effective and constructive evaluations for your speech. On that day, Emily presented the Project #2 : Resources for Entertainment and her speech title was "Seeing through the Eyes of a Caucasian". . The audience could almost pictured Emily Bong as the old fashion mother-in-law, has welcomed her "daughter" and her mat salleh (foreign) husband from
