Crystal Toastmaster Meeting 14^th July 2014

Our lovely and caring President CC Ogy Ong gave her maiden President Speech confidently and courageously. Our theme of the year is ONE DIRECTION, ONE SPIRIT. And the theme for the night is ONE HEART. She is confident that all crystal ladies will always uphold the One Direction of Crystal Toastmasters Club Mission which is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop and practice communication and leadership skills which in turn foster self confidence and personal growth. This One Direction of Crystal Toastmasters Club’s Mission will be supported whole heartedly by One Spirit which we called it Crystal ladies team spirit. Bravo!

A big applause to our energetic and gorgeous Distinguished Toastmaster DTM Irene Lee for bringing in the idea of “One Heart”. Irene took effort and time to invite all the former Crystal Toastmaster Presidents to join the first meeting of 2014/2015 term. A BIG THANK YOU to all the dedicated, dynamic and determined past presidents to make Crystal TMC a shining star and a club where women rewrite their destiny.

CTM Chin Teng Yoong, as an invocator ignited everyone’s interest by sharing a famous quote by William James - Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does. Well done for the inspiring speech!

Thanks Humor Master ACG Yip See See for sharing lots of glamour and funny photos taken during Installation Night. All of us burst into laughing tears upon watching and hearing See See’s humorous speech. Everyone still remember the joy and fun

of the event vividly with her lively and entertaining speech.

Our experienced and energetic Table Topic Master ACS ALS Ng Sok Teng prepared questions related to the theme “One Heart”. She enticed the audiences to find out what was written on the love shape notes by taking up the role as table topic speakers.

All five impromptu speakers performed their best ability to present their statement according to the topics given. ACS Bonnie Ang, shared that until to date, she has not experienced a moment that her heart standstill as she is always passionate for life; ACS ALB Emily Bong, told us what and how she could have done to stop one heart from breaking; Chelsea affirmed the way to a man heart is through his stomach by sharing how satisfy and happy her father and brother when they enjoyed foods prepared by her mother; CC Esther, believed that in work you should not let your heart rule your head; CC Ogy Ong, shared her experience when she deals with her sister-in-law and how she feels about women like to pour their heart out.

Our first assignment speaker, Claire Chok presented her ice breaker speech with poise. Her speech title “One Direction” aroused the audiences’ curiosity. She shared her personal experience and belief with us. We all get to know her better now.

Our second assignment speaker, Sue Ellen, CTM, CL, shared her journey in Crystal with us. She shared how Crystal TMC transformed her from a housewife to a leader. Sue Ellen joined Crystal TMC in 1998. She improved her English and presentation skills by actively participating in the club meetings as timer, ah counter, etc. in the earlier stages. She was elected as the Club President in 2008/2009 and she managed to lead the club to earn the President Distinguished Club Award! Thanks Sue Ellen for sharing how she rewrites her destiny in Crystal CTM! It is very inspiring!

Last but not least, ATMB CL Karolyn Wong brought to us her astounding story telling session - “Aladdin & His Wonderful Lamp”. She gave a new life to this story and made all the audiences laughed their heads off. Bravo!!!
