Crystal Toastmasters

When I joined Toastmasters 4 years ago, my only dream was to be able to speak proper English. After I became a club officer I learned about leadership. My love of learning has prompted me to become the president today. That was the goal I set 4 years ago. There’s still much more to learn and I will follow my dream to achieve my new desire goal. My mission statement for this term is: Commit with Passion. Although the main focus is to uphold Crystal’s Legacy which includes achieving President’s Distinguished Club with perfect 10. It is also equally important to promote new ideas to our members and in addition, help them to achieve their goals, dreams and to rewrite their destiny. My message to all members: Follow your own path and believe in yourself and your reason for joining Toastmasters. Dr. Ralph Smedley , the founder of Toastmasters said it so aptly in these immortal words - “We work together to bring out the best in each of us, and then we apply our skills to help others.” To

For this new term 2011/2012 Crystal Toastmasters Club started their 1st memorable term meeting on 11th. July 2011.  15 members and 12 guests turned up for that night !! .......... wow !! ............... a good boost up for the start of the term. Members and guests started to come in around 7pm and mingled around and at the same time enjoying the food. We had Fried Bee Hoon, Rendang Chicken, fruits and as for drinks, we have tea or coffee. "Susan Lim" our lost and found members come back to join us. We haven't see her for quite a while as she was busy but she promise that we will see her more often for this term. Welcome back !! ......... Our Crystal pillars , namely, Tan Saw Bee, ACG, Karen Hee, ATMB, and  Irene Lee, ALB, ACB (who is also our immediate past Division Governor), was present to give us their support. A Club Officer Training (COT 1) was organized on 9th July 2011 by Division B & C. The Organizing Chairman was none other than Area B5 Governor, Nancy Liew and Area C7 Governor, Hong Soon Leong. Crystal Toastmaster Club will be having their Installation Night on 6th to 7th August 2011 at Adeline Rest House, Gopeng, Perak. You will be experiencing " back-to-nature. Please visit their website to know more. The Theme for the night "Hawaiian Night" - Aloha, here we come. Our Past President for the Term 2010/2011, our one and only .............. "Ms. Lee Mei Foong", have line up all the agendas, games, karaoka, dancing and not forgetting the outside activities. We will be having our lunch at "Tualang" as well. Crystal Toastmasters Club had their median 1st Exco Meeting on 2nd July 2011 for this New Term 2011/ 2012 which is being lead by our dynamic, energetic and passion lady who is non other than our President - Emily Bong. Our out going President - Mei Foong, was also present to give her support. Date of meeting : 2nd July 2011 Time of meeting : 3pm Venue of meeting : Emily's House By the time, Mei Foong and myself reached her house at 1.30pm, we found out that she had prepared a few delicious food for us which include dessert. Everyone of us had a few round of helping on the food. All I can said is " ......... mmmmmmmm ......... yummy............. yummyyyyyyyyyyyy ......."  You see what I  meant .................
