Crystal Toastmasters

Dear Members and Guests , Truly , Really and Truthfully 14/3/2011 meeting was truly magnificent. We had a very interesting and rewarding meeting. The Toastmaster of the Evening , Laychi Low did a fabulous job. She kept the meeting moving at an exciting pace . In spite of the fact that she had a switch what was originally a speech Marathon to the regular meeting with Table Topics and Invocation at the eleventh hour. Anyone lesser would have flipped out but not Laychi Low. She was the cool, composed and eloquent emcee that night. She was quick to thank VPE Emily for her treasure box filled with table topics and Joanne Gam for graciously accepting the role of Table Topics Master within short notice. Really, we always hear from new members requesting for easy roles such as Timer and Ah Counter. ladies, did you know that the roles of Ah Counter and Timer have been understated. Dear Members Jolly Good Sweet Success ! A group of 11 Crystal members , led by our President Lee Mei Foong, marched into Uptown 5 Level 12 on 5th of March 2011 to support our club contestants in the Area B5 International Speech and Table Topic Contest. We were all enchanted and thrilled throughout both the contests. Saw Bee was our club contestant in Area B5 International Speech Contest while Boon Har represented our club in Area B5 Table Topic contest. Both our contestants Tan Saw Bee and Low Boon Har emerged 1st runner up in their respective category . Boon Low, a new baby Crystal was spot-on when she answered the table topic " if you are given one wish, what would it be" Congratulations Boon Low, within a week you have participated at a club and area contest. Your efforts spoke volumes about your courage and determination to be a proficient speaker. Continue to hone your skills and you will be there! We also wish to congratulate Saw Bee for her commitmen

On 28/02/11, Crystal Toastmasters Club had organised a successful ISC and TTC. The Organising Chair was Carolin Wong and assisted by 2 contests chair:- Karen Goh (International Speech Contest) Linda Phoon (Table Topics Contest) There were 5 contestants for the ISC:- 1) Lee Mei Foong 2) Emily Bong 3) Ng Siew Tho 4) Tan Saw Bee 5) Chin Teng Yoong We also had overwhelming contestants for TTC:- 1) Low Laychi 2) Ng Siew Tho 3) Lee Mei Foong 4) Low Boon Har 5) Najwa Amira 6) Wong Shieh Ying 7) Amy Hiew Congratulations to all the contestants, we are the winners even we are not get the trophy. On the ISC, the ranking position as below:- Champion: Tan Saw Bee 1st Runner Up: Ng Siew Tho 2nd Runner Up: Chin Teng Yoong Else, on TTC, the ranking position as below:- Champion: Tan Boon Har 1st Runner Up: Najwa Amira 2nd Runner up: Low Laychi.
