" I am Still Learning " by our TME Emily Bong
No Gentleman Meeting?
“Where
the boys are? Someone waits for me…… “ Connie

Where were all the guys on 10th
Nov 2014? Oh ya they were busy looking
for someone……..
For the first time in ages, Crystal
Toastmasters Club had the meeting conducted in full women attendance. Even the only
opposite sex, DTM Sivalingam, the supposedly General Evaluator had also to turn
us down due to an urgent matter.
But nevertheless, the meeting went on with high
Women’s Power instead… in line with the
meeting theme scrupulously set by the TME, Emily Bong, the STAR Toastmaster of
the Year…..
”I am Still Learning.”
In life, learning is not only confined to the classroom
The biggest room in the world is th room for
IMPROVEMENT
We must keep on learning and get to know
the world better. We learn from the speeches and from the fellow members. In
Crystals, we should never, never, never stop learning….
Even the Table Topic Speakers gave their
ALL to further reinforce the theme of ‘learning’
Don’t just dream,
do it
……Nicole
Opportunity only
knock on the door once
…..……Pei
Ying
Don’t only work for
your house. Treat yourself well, love yourself…. Amethyst
Don’t’ ever give up……Irene
And to share with you what her hobbies and
dreams are…
a)Dogs (Yours truly loves dogs
too)
b)Jogging (Yours truly is
also a fanatic runner)
c) And also Travelling, reading
and drawing.
Wow! Yours truly is glad to know that we
have some common interest, Tyng Yan.
And her dreams….. to achieve leadership and presentation skills
in Crystals. Yes, Tyng Yan, you have indeed come to the right niche to start your
journey of learning programs….We wish you all the best and hope to hear from
you again soon.
Moving on Nana had confidently reminded all
the girls about the importance of keeping fit and eating good in her speech No #CC
7 with the title “CHOLESTEROL.” Thanks
Nana, but foods with high cholesterol are often more YUMMY, TASTIER, APPETISING
and so sinfully irresistible …
Also a word of encouragement to our first
time evaluator, Esther Then who has done proficiently well to evaluate Tyng Yan
by using her ‘KISS’ of life.
Which means Keep It Simple and Sweet. Well
done Esther!
And the best speaker of the evening, KL CHEAH, who had almost made
everyone fell off their seats in awe with her poetry presentation by Dr Maya
Angelou, the infamous African-American author and poet.
Our champions for the evening:-
Best Speaker – KL CHEAH
Best table topic speaker – Lim Pei Ying
Best evaluator – Irene Lee
And lastly, Crystal beautiful girls, please
attend the next meeting which is on 24th November 2014. It will be
hosted by our maiden TME, Datin Matilda Ho.
Please come to support Datin Matilda. We
need your attendance, your listening ears and commitments to take up roles.
