Crystal Toastmasters Club Officers 2012/2013 Installation Night

Friday 29th June, at Havana Tropicana was a significant once a year event where Emily Bong, our now Immediate Past President (IPP) shared the success story behind Crystal Toastmaster Club.

Our 2011/2012 theme "Commit With Passion" was successfully fulfilled. We started strong and finished strong. The Crystals had certainly lived up to the standard and making Crystal’s flag flying high in Division B" said the beaming Emily.

Bravo to the 2011/2012 Exco Team

The Crystals and guests got together to rekindle fellowship, celebrated the club’s success and witnessed the installation of the new 2012/2013 Exco team. Emily Bong, IPP passed her gavel to our Newly Elected President, Ng Siew Tho and wished her success in leading the Club to greater heights.

Ng Siew Tho, started her journey with Crystal Toastmaster in February 2007 with the desire to learn and excel to become a better communicator. Not only she accomplished her desire, she also ended up dedicating herself in various Exco roles from SAA, Treasurer, Secretary, VPPR, VPE and through her dedication and commitment, she courageously took up the new challenge as President.

Her last 5 years as a committed toastmaster through her perseverance and devotion, saw her transformation from ordinary to extraordinary.

Siew Tho, in her maiden presidential speech, pledged “Together with my new team, and using our Club as the platform for Crystals to shine to the brightest, we will fulfill the Club’s vision where ‘women rewrite their destiny’. Our new term theme "Commit To Excellence" says it all. She believes that once we commit to achieve excellence with our body, mind and soul, it can be accomplished collectively as One.”

Irene Lee, who was the Parliamentarian officiated the installation of the new term club officers by ensuring they understood their new roles and responsibilities and that they took an oath for their new appointed roles.

Our Master of Ceremony, Low Laychi who possessed the ability to roll with the punches, did a fabulous job in conducting the entire event. 

Everyone enjoyed the special performance from the beautiful singer Eva Lim, who was the semi finalist of Astro Classic Golden Melody Contest, this really spiced up the event.

The scene then turned into a dancing party where all the Crystals and guests had so much fun dancing and catching up with each other.

The ceremony ends with everyone holding hands, singing to the tune of the meaningful song
"If We Hold On Together".

The event ended in high spirit and confidence that Crystal will continue to soar under the new leadership.
