The Division B Humorous and Evaluation Contest

Dear Crystal Ladies and friends

On 24th September 2011, Sok Teng walk into Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus and did us proud as the 1st Runner Up for the Evaluation Contest. Congratulation !!











She stand elegantly and give her evaluation to the Test Speaker - Kenneth Yee with his speech title “When I realized.” He shared with us the up and down of every human will face as they journey through their life.

Sok Teng confidently evaluate the speech with constructive feedback and area for improvement.

“LET IT GO…………………LET IT GO…………………” In life, sometimes we harbour bitter and unpleasant feelings about someone or a disagreement; we allow such guilt or grief to be embedded in our hearts. Life goes on, just face the world, let it go and  let bygones be bygones . So ladies, set yourselves free, be someone who you want to be. Dress and look the way you like. A big applause to our ever energetic and confident TME, CC Tammy Lim for bringing in the idea of  “Let It Go.” Our Humour master CTM ATMB Carolyn Wong let go her first blast by standing on stage with her yellow  “wigs”  and act like a  “crown” . The laughter erupted even before she utter the first sentence. Obviously, a good beginning makes a good ending. Most of us burst into laughing    tears  upon watching and hearing her jokes. REGULAR MEETING – 8TH OCTOBER 2012 – MOVING FORWARD

The theme “Moving Forward” is to motivate the members to progress or advance further in our journey of toast mastering. The Toastmaster Of The Evening, Emily Bong, ACB, ALB, had early on before the meeting, blast out an email, “ Are you  moving  forward  to  equip  yourself to be a  better mentor?" Our honorable Brand Strategist Speaker’s, Jon Tan, DTM, had tailor made a “Mini Mentoring Workshop” in this meeting. In this workshop, he talks about how to be an effective mentor and the benefits of being a coach, mentor or mentee. It also explore on defining vision plan and mentoring scope. A practical role of Mentor and Mentee had taken place in this session to in-depth further in this workshop. He even distribute the materials of Mentoring to all who attended the workshop. TERM 2011/2012 1st Exco Meeting- 02/07/11

Crystal Toastmasters Club had their median 1st Exco Meeting on 2nd July 2011 for this New Term 2011/ 2012 which is being lead by our dynamic, energetic and passion lady who is non other than our President - Emily Bong. Our out going President - Mei Foong, was also present to give her support. Date of meeting : 2nd July 2011 Time of meeting : 3pm Venue of meeting : Emily's House By the time, Mei Foong and myself reached her house at 1.30pm, we found out that she had prepared a few delicious food for us which include dessert. Everyone of us had a few round of helping on the food. All I can said is " ......... mmmmmmmm ......... yummy............. yummyyyyyyyyyyyy ......."  You see what I  meant ................. " Thai Fried Bee Hoon with seafood " and "Yam Cake" ........ my favourite.   Dessert of the day ........... Red Bean ..............  We had a hearty meal and started our meeting at 3pm.
