Keynotes for the meeting-28/3/2011

Dear Members and Guests,

Again 28/3/2011 was another incredible meeting in our Crystal TM club.

Our Toastmaster of the Evening, Christine Lum said, she was rusty and reluctant to take up this role when I first offered her. I guessed she was on the fast track, she instantly rose to occasion as she took over the control. She gave a breath taking introduction history of Toastmaster, with very creative and inventive questions. Two examples: Why Dr. Ralph Smedley name the club "Toastmaster"? When was Toastmasters opened to women?

Table Topics Master, Siew Tho came out with very stimulating topics. All 6 speakers spoke with conviction...Two of our guests, Ogy and Jeannie took the challenge and spoke eloquently even thought it was their first attempt.

Three assignment speakers for the evening were Saw Bee, Boon Har and Joanne.

Saw Bee spoke on Keeping Warm in Cold Weather to prepare the audience for helped us for our coming Winter Sonata Holidays.

Boon Har took us down to a memory lane and entertained us with her an animated speech on movies she enjoyed her younger days.

Joanne spoke about Loving Your Enemy. She related how the two so called 'enemies' turned out to be the stepping stones of success for her. Bravo Joanne you are indeed a very determined lady.

The meeting ended with a learning game introduced by Saw Bee. Each member was given a number and she was required to say the number with an assigned emotion. For example "Say No 3" with sadness". Almost everyone in the meeting got a chance to try out her ability to inject emotion in her voice. We were all so amused with the learning. Saw bee promised us more in the next meeting.

With this I would like to thank all participants for contributing to this awesome and successful meeting. The camaraderie among members and guests were electrifying. We felt a kindred spirit and strong bond of friendship among those present in the meeting.

I definitely look forward for another great meeting and I believe Saw bee will line up another fun filled learning.
