Crystal TMC Meeting Keynotes 9th June 2014

“Together We Are One”

Our charming and vivacious Nicole Yap, who took the rostrum with full confidence as the Toastmaster of the Evening bringing in glamour and style with her ‘Cocktail’ as dress code for the evening. Her walk in Crystals just like ours, is no ordinary walk in the park.  Take a look at ourselves again. Aren’t we proud at what we have become? The true result and achievement of Toastmasters’ education…. And it is INSPIRATIONAL!

President Linda Phoon, shared in her opening speech that ‘behind the curtains,’ are many ladies supporters who will never say ‘NO’ to any request for help, be it a role play or contributions for lucky draw etc …This is a true CRYSTAL’S SPIRITS.

Ladies, you are Simply the Best…..

TOGETHER WE SHINE, TOGETHER WE ARE ONE indeed..

Table Topic Master, and a natural comedian, Emily Bong, thrilled the audience with her extraordinary presentation of this impromptu speech session. It started with a short story line and five chosen speakers including Yours Truly were to continue the story with an opening, body and conclusions.
Words … don’t come easy to me …….

1.    Witty Esther created the story of Mei Ling crying over her stolen baby..
2.      Yours Truly tried in vain, to buy time by going round in circles about Mei Ling’s cries..
3.     Hope, a citizen of Vietnam resuscitated the story by adding a new twist to it..
4.     Claire tried to end the story by discovering the baby and ….
5.      Finally the Queen of Table Topics, Laychi kept everyone’s mouths gapping by reopening the story to say that the found baby was not the real baby…

It was hilarious and fun, thank you Emily. That was a very original creation. Thank you also for dragging  in Yours Truly to make her maiden attempt in Table Topics.

The TME, Nicole Yap, taking a breather with Chironjit Das,  who played the role of the General Evaluator. Thank You Chironjit.

Wow wow wow….sending flying kisses to Thian Seng, Benny or the G.E. ?

Four assignment speakers presented their speeches. It started with:

Ng Siew Tho –       performed her ‘Roast’ to Emily under advanced manual on Special Occasion
Jeff Foong –           My Lovely One (guess who he was referring to??)
Lee Mei Foong –    Save on For a Better Tomorrow-advanced manual by Management

Bravos to all the speakers for a job well done….

One, two, three ……………smile………………………

Beautiful ladies in a row………………

Come, let me show you…you cha-cha with the right foot forward…..

And the RESULTS for the evening:-  drummmmmm roll please….

Congratulations  Low Laychi, ..you are another double winner in two weeks!! Best Table Topics Speaker and Best Evaluator..

Next,
Best speaker, Lim Pei Ying with her opening grabber – No man is an island. She spoke about three types of ‘friends.’ The BBC, CNN type, the Ready to Go type but her favourite, is the Mean and Original…one who is truthful, direct and outspoken…

The meeting was concluded with the General Evaluator, Chironjit Das who made us all proud by being so generous with his praises for Crystals. Thank You so much Chironjit for the positive feedbacks….

Our next meeting shall be the final meeting of the old term 2013/2014.

So ladies, come back on 23rd June 2014.
