Wishing you a very Happy and Prosperous Lunar New Year 2011!
Chinese New Year has arrived, and we have full of Possibilities to Prosper to higher heights.
It is simply 'AMAZING !' The continuous support, high attendance of members during meeting and the drawing in of more new members has shown Crystal TM Club achievement.
Toastmaster of the Evening Tan Siew Eng, CC started off the meeting by Introducing Toastmaster's program to the guests, after Acting President Emily Bong, CC has given her Chinese New Year Message.
It was a Marathon speech event, and 7 assignment speakers was awaiting for their turn eagerly. Here are the speakers as follows:
1st speaker Amy Hiew, TM: Undoubtedly, we got to know Amy better by now. A very well behaved girl, middle child, without middle child syndrome, born in a happy family of 5 siblings. Three Addictions:
:drink nothing but tea.......
:scrabble game.......
Korean drama.........
Amy, we know what to buy for your Christmas present.......
2nd speaker Tan Saw Bee, ACG: Saw speech was very inspiring....... Saw Bee told us to stop lamenting about not having enough money, talent and education.
Here are the DO' :be determined.......
:have lofty dreams.......
:overcome adversities in spite of limited resources........
And DON'T ' :dreaming chicken dreams........
: thinking chicken thoughts.........
: having chicken ambitions.....
Must Do' : Think Big.....
: Act Big......
: Always Believe You can......Remember......You are an Eagle not a Chicken!
Dear Saw Bee, I was looking at mirror this morning and notice my chicken image is fading off. And I saw a tiny eagle in me! This baby eagle from Crystal eagle farm is starting to love what she see. Very soon she will grow up and fly with the rest of the Imperial Eagles. Breeding from the golden Eagles eggs, it is impossible for us not to believe that we can soar as high as you.......
3rd speaker Najwa Amira,TM: Najwa shared with us that she gain confidence by participating in Table Topic.This practice helped her in her impromptu speech so much that she managed to pass her ILA exam. She also claimed that you won't lose but you gain in Toastmasters. We all agreed with what Najwa said, In Toastmasters we prosper in knowledge and in our daily livelihood.......Well said Najaw......
4th speaker Wong Shieh Ying,TM: This three words, 'You are Hopeless' has change Shieh Ying to a future lawyer.Shieh Ying was rebellious and naughty in her secondary school, mixing with the wrong company. She realized all her unwholesome deeds when her teacher saw no hope in her, she call her up saying nothing but just three words, ' you are hopeless'. She then, changed her attitude and mix with the wise, and today that three hush words has transformed to thee sweet words 'I Love You" from the same teacher who criticized her.Shieh Ying, our three little words to you 'We Love you'.........
5th speaker Joann Gam, TM: Joann was devastated, due to the unpleasant working environment. She tried to drown her problem in hard liquor and drove home dangerously, which almost cause an accident. This 'Silly Experience' has taught her a valuable lesson, and that is to value her life. She then found a better job with a better boss who know how to appreciate their employee.Today Joann is happy and now laughing at her "Silly Dangerous Experience"......
6th speaker Emily Bong, CC: As a Real Estate agent, Emily with her research project, took us down a memory lane, when/how Bandar Utama property started.Back in 1990 Bandar Utama was 1000 acres of palm oil plantation. Since the first development in the early 90s Bandar Utama has become a shopping paradise. Property owner are happy to have invested their property here, where you can get anything and everything in this Strong Branding One Utama. Property prices had risen rapidly in the last two decades not only in Bandar Utama but the whole Klang Valley.
Last & 7th speaker Yeoh Yoke Bee, CTM: Yoke Bee advice us not to be too dependent on maid. Most of us find it hard, as it's not easy to cope after a hard day coming back from work. Three reason given : Less RM currency out of the country.
: Crime rate reduce.
: Cheap labor resulted cheap value.
Wish our dream comes true, our beloved Country Malaysia will progress well for the beneficial of all Malaysian.
All speakers did a wonderful presentation & great speeches.Thank you to all speech evaluators for given us their sincere opinion. We will certainly improve by going up on stage more often and of course with all your guidance.

My gratitud to our Division Governor Irene Lee, making effort to be our General Evaluator. And a special thanks to Thian Seng from Indrahana for taking double role in assisting us.
