Crystal TMC Meeting Keynotes 14 April 2014
I am The BRAND
YES. We are our own ambassador. We are our own BRAND.
President Linda Phoon has called upon a few ladies to brand among themselves. All the ladies were excitingly and happily branding each other intrinsically.
Your Brand is YOU.
Your Branding is YOU in Action.
Bravo TM Lim Pei Ying for her maiden TME session.
To foster our beliefs on personal branding, CC Esther Then vividly prepared some questions related to the theme. All four speakers smartly described the given scenarios based on their own personal branding. TM Pei Ying encouraged all ladies to stand out from the crowd with their own personal branding. Sue Ellen is in opinion that, the more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique. By bench marking others, you can learn so much about your own personal branding. Now we understand why Saw Bee branded herself as a lady who can walk very fast and wish to be known as a traveller. Whereas Matilda agreed to the statement “Life isn’t about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself.”
Our first speaker, TM Yu Min being a young, pretty and vibrant girl teaches us the smart way to procrastinate and show us the art of procrastinating. Procrastination is always treated as a get-away ticket from reality. However, procrastination is not always a bad thing. We can use procrastination to our own advantage. There are a few reasons why people procrastinate, it could be because they are a perfectionist, or maybe because they refuse to leave their comfort zone. Like it or not, in reality, we will always have a constant fight with procrastination.
While TM Yu Min is fighting with procrastination, our second speaker, TM Vivien Seow show us The Power in a Hug. “Hug” is like a boomerang, you get it back right away. She showed us the power of “Hug” by asking the audience to hug the person sitting next to them. In this way, we observed how a simple hug help us to feel good and improves the relationship with the person who received the hug. She briefed us the benefits of hugging and uses music to display different kinds of hug for lover, friends or family members which display different kind of feelings, be it happy, excited or moody.
When most of us are still indulging ourselves in the power of “Hug”, ACS ALS Irene Lee awakes us by holding a press conference to address to the public on how and why a teacher and 5 students were missing in Maxwell Hill, Taiping. However, Ms. Irene Lee as a school headmistress is confident that all of them will be found soon.
While the audience were still trying to search for the answer on the missing teacher and students, DTM Victor Ong chipped in smartly by providing us his “Satisfaction Guaranteed” speech. Attentions were soon diverted to him to gauge on the level of satisfaction that he could provide, but only to find out that he only provides “Speech Satisfaction Guaranteed”. It’s kind of disappointed though.
To relax our mind, we have the opportunity to watch the video from an internet presentation prepared by ACS, ALS Irene Lee. She teaches us on “How to craft a speech”. Her video recorded training program will be evaluated by a panel of evaluators under the direction of General Evaluator.
Bravo to all the evaluators who are passionate and committed to give their best evaluation on every speaker, not forgetting our role players too. All of you deserved a big round of applause.
Congratulations to ACS ALS Irene Lee who will be awarded DTM title by completing all the required assignment.
ACS ALS Irene Lee, you made us proud, you made our club shine with flying colours in Area B5, District 51.
