REGULAR MEETING - 240912 - THE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival or Zongqiu Festival, is a popular lunar harvest festival celebrated by Chinese and Vietnamese people. Celebration of the Mid-Autumn festival has a history of over 3,000 years dating back to the moon worship in ancient times. The festival is celebrated extensively across the country, and is one of the few reunion holidays for Chinese families. On that day, Chinese family members stay together, admiring the full moon, as it is the brightest and fullest in the whole year and eating mooncakes. In conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival, Crystal Toastmasters Club had set the Theme – Mid-Autumn Festival to boost up the meeting. Our Toastmaster of the Evening, Lee Mei Foong, did a fantastic job by staging the mood!! And, record show that we had 10 guests and 21 members attending the meeting. Congratulation!!
