Crystal Toastmasters Club Meeting - 27th June 2011
A Big Thank You to all members and guests for gracing our last meeting of 2010/2011 term, mission Accomplished!
Our heartiest congratulations to Boon Low and Joann Gam who are Competent Communicators now and they have made it possible for our club to achieve President's Distinguished Club Status by scoring the Perfect 10.
A journey of thousand miles begins with the first step: in Toastmasters your first step is the Icebreaker speech and if you keep the momentum going you can and will complete your 10 project speech assignments . And you will flap your wings and will soon be Soaring Together To Greater Heights with Crystal Imperial Eagles....
Through my learning journey in Crystal, I have seen members coming in and out, hence, some has transformed while some are still in their infancy stage....
Well the choice is yours.......
When you make concerted efforts to attend club fortnightly meeting and take up small roles you will be pleasantly surprise that over a period of time, the little, little thing can make a difference in your communication skills.
When President Mei Foong delivered her final address as a president of Crystal Toastmasters Club, everyone concurred that Mei Foong has not only enhanced her leadership and communication skills , she has also transformed from a plain Jane, to a glamorous business lady. Her 'packaging' and presentation skills have moved up many notches - a vast difference since she joined Toastmasters.
President Lee Mei Foong there is one word to describe you ...... Exemplary!!!
Tan Saw Bee an ever ready multi-tasking member, spontaneously took over Christine Lum's TME role, when she has to attend to a last minute conference call at work.
Thank you Saw Bee, for keeping everyone energized throughout the evening .
My appreciations also go to all our neighboring club members, who have so willing to lend their hands and brains to assist us in various roles.
As the saying goes:Toastmasters members are like one Big Family, there are no boundaries among members and clubs. We practise this tradition of 'friends helping friends' no matter which club you are.
