Back to History Going back to the roots.... Below is an abstract of an interview conducted by Tammy Lim with Crystals long time passionate and co-founding member, Tan Saw Bee. Question: How was the club formed? Answer: The founder is none other than Tan Sri Ng Yen Yen . She rounded up some ladies with the help of Dato lee Hwa Beng in 1998 . I remember the meeting was held at Lakeview Club , Subang Jaya . Dato' Lawrence Chan ( Taman Indrahana TMC ) was also roped in to introduce Toastmasters . Ng yen yen ( no titles then) diligently drove Bonnie & I to the talk for two consecutive nights . She managed to rope in 20 ladies with the help of Dato' Lee Hwa Beng . Among the 20 charter members were Christine Chan ( Charter President) , Nicky Lee , Bonnie Ang, Karen Hee , Tan Siew Eng , Rosalind Tan , Tan Wee Ping , Shirleen Chiew , Lena Yeoh , Rita Wong , Eng Mui Seng , Irene Yap , Susanna , Joanne Foo , Tan Saw Bee and Caroline Wong.
